Arizona Undergraduate Scholarship Fund

Scholarships increase access to a University of Arizona education and promote sustained success for enrolled students. Beyond tuition and fees, supporting all undergraduate students with the full cost of attendance – including housing, meals and books - is crucial to assist them in earning their degrees. UArizona’s primary pooled scholarship fund is awarded to undergraduate students with financial need, strong academic merit or both, at the discretion of the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.

Arizona Student Opportunity Fund

Setting the stage for academic and personal success, the programs within Student Success and Retention Innovation (SSRI) ensure students succeed in the classroom, build community and find their path at UArizona. The fund may support: the SALT Center for students with learning differences, tutoring programs through THINK TANK, the Thrive Center – which includes First Cats for first generation students, the supportive program for the Arizona Assurance scholarship cohort, and the New Start summer program allowing students to jump start their college experience - to provide a sense of belonging for underrepresented student groups, and more.

Campus Life Program Fund

Part of a powerful suite of services offered, Campus Life programs help students to be healthy and safe, build community for distinctive student populations, and provide crucial resources for students most in need. Benefiting programs and priorities within the Dean of Students/Campus Life division, the fund may provide support for Adaptive Athletics, the Basic Needs Center (Campus Closet, Campus Pantry, Fostering Success, Student Legal Services), Campus Health, Campus Recreation, Counseling & Psych Services, Housing, the Richard H. Tyler Student Emergency Fund and the Veterans Education & Transition Services Center, among others.

Student Career and Leadership Development Fund

Preparing students for extraordinary futures and setting them up for success, the programs and priorities within Student Engagement and Career Development (SECD) complete the 360 degrees of support provided to UArizona students. This future-focused fund may support innovative programs that build students’ resumes and career confidence, including the nationally renowned Blue Chip Leadership Experience, the Design Thinking Challenge to solve real-world problems, LifeLab peer-to-peer career counseling, and hands-on internship and research opportunities through the Summer Impact Awards, along with other supports to facilitate a students’ next step after graduation.

Arizona Assurance Scholarship Fund

Arizona Assurance (AZA) is a program that was created to increase the number of college graduates from the state of Arizona who come from low-income households. AZA provides both financial aid and support services; these work together to retain and graduate students. This is achieved through first-year transition programming, mentoring, leadership building, career development, graduate/professional school preparation and planning for life after college.

Richard H. Tyler Student Emergency Fund

The Richard H. Tyler Student Emergency Fund is available to support currently enrolled students who are in need and at risk of having to withdraw from their classes due to an unexpected, temporary financial hardship. This hardship could be a result of illness, family crisis, natural disaster, or other emergency or crisis situations. Funds are intended to cover temporary costs that may hinder a student from succeeding academically or from meeting their basic needs.
