Bridging the Gap in Medical Student's Wellness
College of Medicine - Tucson alum, Dr. Albert G. Wendt (Class of 1974) is committed to improving the health and wellness of our MedCats and will be matching every dollar given with TWO dollars! For every $2,500 donated to the Health and Wellness Distinction Track Fund on Giving Day, an additional $5,000 in funding will be matched by Dr. Wendt until we reach $100,000! Generally, medical students carry an increased burden of depression, anxiety, and mental stress compared to nonmedical peers of the same age. We are committed to helping our future physicians understand the complex concept of wellness and empowering our MedCats with the tools necessary to understand wellness promotion through all five wellness competencies. Dr. Wendt believes supporting the health and wellness of our medical students fosters a stronger future for healthcare in our nation. He invites you to join him in providing critical support for the health and wellness of our MedCats. Give today to TRIPLE your impact!
