The ENGAGED program has shown a significant impact on student success and retention. The rising sophomore students in Summer TRACK are about 4 times more likely to persist to their junior year in engineering than similar students who did not participate in Summer TRACK. Your donations will support scholarships and summer housing for students who participate in signature summer engineering programs: Summer TRACK and Blast Off. Your gift and the challenge match, supports approximately 15 students from low-income households to cover the tuition their Pell Grant does not cover.

The Commitment to Underserved People (CUP) program was created in 1979 and continues today to be a student-developed and student-directed co-curricular program serving a variety of underserved populations in Tucson and Southern Arizona. The work the program does goes well beyond the dollar value. As a mom of two shared, "This clinic is amazing. I've lived through brutality and so have my kids. You make me feel human again, like someone cares." With 10 in-house clinics, nine clinical programs and 21 non-clinical/educational programs currently available in Tucson and Southern Arizona, students have opportunities to participate in service-learning that is related to their individual interests. The Department of Neurosurgery is committed to ensuring Dr. Justin S. Cetas’ lifelong commitment to all aspects of patient care, education and training, research, and strong departmental leadership will continue long into the future.
