Teaching, research and extension are the tenets of the U of A's Land Grant Mission at the heart of everything we do at CALES. Your gifts directly impact our students and continue our 140-year tradition of supporting the needs of Arizona's communities and beyond.

CALES has hundreds of funds that may align with your interests and philanthropic goals. If you would like to consider making a multiyear gift, supporting an existing fund, or establishing a lasting campus legacy by endowing your own fund for a purpose meaningful to you—with a minimum commitment of $50,000, payable over 5 years—we would be delighted to help you explore options and find the right fit.
CALES Finish Line Support Fund
Your donation will help provide the final bit of financial support students need to cross the finish line, complete their degree, and start their careers on the right foot.
Going into Spring 2025 class registration, 227 CALES undergraduate students had past-due balances, totaling $2.18 million. Of those, 63 were seniors, just a few credits short of graduation, and at risk of not finishing their degrees due to a short-term funding shortage. This often happens due to personal events that lead to large, unexpected expenses. This is the worst possible outcome for students—they've invested their time, money, and energy with us only to leave without a degree—and the statistics show that many students who pause their degree programs will not return. An immediate, surmountable challenge can easily turn into a lifelong loss of the future that students have worked so hard to achieve.
CALES General Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for deserving CALES students from all walks of life. Each year, our student body profile and need for financial aid changes. Your support will help our scholarship awards committee find students with financial needs and academic merit from across the college to receive financial assistance.
School of Natural Resources and the Environment (SNRE) Strategic Priorities Fund
In these uncertain times, adaptability is key. The SNRE Strategic Priorities Fund is a flexible fund that empowers school leadership to respond quickly to emerging challenges, launch innovative programs, and maintain momentum toward SNRE's vision. This year alone, the Strategic Priorities Fund supported student research, conference travel, and paid internships at the Reid Park Zoo.
Friends of Agriculture and Life Sciences
From research seed funding to international education, the Friends of CALES fund provides flexible support for all manners of teaching, research, and extension across the college. From the romaine fields of Yuma, the boardrooms of Madison Avenue, to the steppes of Kazakhstan, you can support CALES around the world through a gift to Friends of CALES.
