What is Giving Day?
Giving Day is a university-wide effort to inspire Wildcats in the University of Arizona community to make a gift in support of the people, places, programs that make the university extraordinary. For 24 hours, students, parents, faculty, staff, friends and alumni unite to show their support for the university.
Why should I participate in Giving Day?
Gifts add up to make a large impact. It funds scholarships for students who otherwise would not be able to attend college and supports programs that help us shape extraordinary futures.

How do Giving Day challenges work?
Challenges are gifts that have been made in advance by individuals or groups. They are designed to increase the impact of your support. In many cases, the impact of your gift can be doubled based on the challenge gift associated with your donation.

What does my gift support?
It’s up to you. Depending on your area of passion, you can support a student scholarship specific to your college, student success programs and more.
What if the fund I want to give to is not listed?
Select “Other” in the funds dropdown menu then specify the area you want to support. To make your gift over the phone or to talk about your giving options, please call us at 1-888-285-3412.
I want to become a challenge donor. How do I get involved?
Your gift is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law according to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our tax identification number is 86-6050388. The University of Arizona Foundation promptly sends a tax receipt by mail for all gifts of $10 or more.

Are international donations accepted?
Yes. We accept gifts made internationally via credit card.
Is there a minimum donation to make a gift to Giving Day?
Your contribution will be processed through the University of Arizona Foundation and directed to the college, department, or program responsible for the fund you choose. Gifts are subject to University of Arizona gift policies.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
The University of Arizona Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code with the mission of advancing the University of Arizona by building relationships, securing philanthropic support, and stewarding assets. Charitable contributions to the University of Arizona Foundation are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the site.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments will be processed through our secure giving website facilitated by the University of Arizona Foundation.
